Bishopstoke’s Titanic connections

Sunday 10th July 2022 at 2pm

On the 110th anniversary of this famous disaster, it seems appropriate to remember that it was not only members of the crew and their families that were affected, but other less obvious casualties.

Bishopstoke lost two of its most wellknown local figures, as well as a young man just setting out on a life at sea. Join us to hear their stories and walk in their footsteps.

This will be a linear walk from the church, down the hill to the River Itchen. There are no parking restrictions on Church Road or the side roads. The carpark at the Hub is also available, but ensure enough time to walk up the hill to St Mary’s Church.

  • Walking time: 1½ hours
  • Location: outside St Mary’s Church, Church Road, Bishopstoke, SO50 6DL
